There are many benefits of using mindfulness during meditation as a daily practice, many of which can make a significant difference in your recovery.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It comes from two Japanese words- Rei which means “the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy." So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force." Reiki is done by an individual placing their hands on another, transferring healing energy into them. The individual will feel a sense of heat or warmth as the energy is being transferred into them. It is a safe, non-evasive way of spiritual healing. Reiki helps healing in areas concerning physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual issues. The heat or warmth the individual receives will give them a sense of relaxation, feelings of peace, security, and well-being.
Exercise and fitness is an integral component of recovery as it has been proven to help lessen physical and emotional withdrawal symptoms. Exercise stimulates the release of endorphins, which is known to help stabilize and improve mood.
Exercise provides an emotional sense of enjoyment and satisfaction while enhancing feelings of self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth. We will offer Group exercise classes which will give individuals an opportunity to socialize and meet new peers.
Learning how to properly nourish the body is an essential component of recovering from addiction, as alcohol and chemical dependency can deplete the body of vital nutrients. As part of treatment, we advocate a diet rich in nutrients to support the body’s natural healing process. Nourishing oneself with healthy foods fortified with vital nutrients, enzymes, and vitamins can significantly reduce cravings and help stabilize mood swings during recovery.
Crystals and gemstones work to balance and clear blockages in our energy centers called chakras. When our chakras are not in balance it can affect us on an emotional and physical level. Blockages in our chakras can often manifest into serious physical illness in the areas in which the blockages reside.
